Each man, woman, and child deserves the opportunity to thrive in life.

Hello! My name is Tina McAninch, and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with three years of direct therapy experience and eight years in a variety of community-based social work roles. I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and change, and that therapy can help unlock that potential. I launched Helping to Thrive to provide a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment.
I specialize in trauma-focused therapy,,using evidence-based modalities such as TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, Grief Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing in my practice. I work with individuals and families and have experience working with children as young as three, using both child-centered and directive play therapy.
I want to walk alongside you and support your journey towards thriving in life, whether you are seeking therapy for mental illness treatment, are facing a loss or change, or are simply struggling with life's daily challenges.

One-on-one therapy is offered in a casual and comfortable environment and is strength-based and person-centered. New clients will complete a personal assessment prior to their first appointment, and the first session will focus on reviewing the assessment and identifying personal goals for therapy.
Couples therapy focuses on listeniing to understand, rather than listening to respond. Couples will explore various grounding techniques to aid in de-escalation when needed in the home or elsewhere.
Family therapy strives for each person to have and use their voice and to do so while respecting the needs of others. Family sessions are typically scheduled for 90 minutes.
Play therapy takes place in a room stocked with toys and games. Through interactive play, a child is observed and heard. Often children don't have the words, therefore active engagement and observation are critical in helping children be their best selves.
Learn effective strategies for parenting and build stronger relationships with your children. Recognizing individual strengths and challenges, along with a willingness to change, is key to forming the best parent-child bond.
Helping to Thrive is in the process of getting credentialed to be in network with all Indiana insurance carriers, including Medicare and Medicaid. In the meantime, clients will be provided with the necessary documentation to file claims themselves.
